Stagflation

​An economic situation where there is high inflation (= prices rising continuously) but no increase in the jobs that are available or in business activity

Example usage from an FT article:

One of the worst features of stagflation is it puts the Fed in a dilemma: if inflation remains too high, they can’t cut rates to protect employment.
