Leading Through AI Uncertainty in Asia

Governance, accountability and executive judgement

26 February, 2026
4:00 - 5:00 pm HKT
[Complimentary Webinar]

About the event

Artificial intelligence is already widely embedded across organisations in Asia. Recent compliance checks in Hong Kong found that around 80% of organisations are using or experimenting with AI in daily operations, while more than half of employees report using AI tools even when they are not formally provided or governed by their employer. This growing gap between adoption and oversight is creating immediate risks around data security, accountability and control.

Regulatory responses across the region remain fragmented and incremental. Governments are prioritising pilots, standards and targeted measures over comprehensive AI legislation, often adapting existing data protection and cybersecurity rules in ways that create overlapping obligations and uncertainty. Boards will increasingly have to take a more proactive stance on judgement and governance as responsibility shifts from regulators to companies.

This Financial Times webinar will examine how senior leaders should respond to these governance challenges. Our expert panel will explore how company directors and business leaders can navigate regulatory uncertainty, oversee responsible AI use, and ensure that governance frameworks remain fit for purpose.
